Whetstone Recycling and Household Waste Site (RHWS) and Transfer Station (TS) Improvements
How the new Whetstone RHWS may look
Reducing the amount of rubbish we send to landfill is one of
Leicestershire County Council's top priorities. The fourteen RHWSs
contribute to achieving this priority by providing facilities to enable
more waste to be recycled and diverted from landfill.
Leicestershire County Council is proposing to redevelop the
Whetstone Recycling and Household Waste Site (RHWS) to provide an
improved level of service to site users and to increase levels of
recycling (for further information regarding the development aims,
design features and key dates please see the bottom of this page).
